Fabric groups allows you to segregate resources of the tenants or the different types of resources available in the endpoints such as clusters. So you can create Fabric groups based on each cluster. In this post we will see on How to create Fabric Groups in vRealize Automation.
Fabric groups requires one fabric administrator who is responsible for creating reservations on the compute resources in their groups to allocate fabric to specific business groups. Fabric groups are created in a specific tenant, but their resources can be made available to users who belong to business groups in all tenants.
So let’s see How to create Fabric groups in vRealize Automation:
Login to vRealize Automation portal.
Go to Infrastructure tab.
Select Fabric Groups.
Click on Green plus icon to create Fabric group.
Provide the Name & description for the Fabric group.
Search & choose the Fabric administrator who will manage the fabric group.
Select the compute resource to assign to the fabric group.
Click OK to save & create fabric group.
You will see that Fabric group is created successfully.
That’s it, Using this way you can easily create fabric group based on your requirement. If you want to create multiple fabric group for different clusters than you can also create it assign each cluster to each fabric groups.
