Fastdot utilizes Amazon’s EC2 (elastic cloud compute) and VPC (virtual private cloud) technology to deliver a robust and performance-driven cPanel Cloud Infrastructure. With EC2, Fastdot’s Engineers are able to scale the environment to meet ongoing customer demand and subsequently lower overall infrastructure costs.
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud.
With global infrastructure at our fingertips, we were able to deploy a highly available, distributed DNS cluster for our customers. Each DNS zone that is created within our cPanel Cloud Infrastructure is replicated three times (across the US, Asia Pacific and Europe) to ensure maximum uptime and durability.

Storage & I/O
Fastdot leverages Amazon’s EBS (Elastic Block Store) to deliver reliable, cost-effective and durable storage for our cPanel Cloud Infrastructure. EBS is essentially network-attached storage that can be transferred between EC2 instances, making it a highly-available medium (i.e. instance agnostic)
Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) offers persistent storage for Amazon EC2 instances. Amazon EBS volumes are network-attached, and persist independently from the life of an instance. Amazon EBS volumes are highly available, highly reliable volumes that can be leveraged as an Amazon EC2 instance’s boot partition or attached to a running Amazon EC2 instance as a standard block device.
Each Fastdot storage volume is automatically replicated within the same Availability Zone. This prevents data loss due to failure of any single hardware component. So you know that your data is safe with Fastdot.
