In vRealize Automation you can configure email server for notification, alerts & mail approval requests. So that when the user submit the request for the machine approval manager will be notified via email for the approval. In this post we will see on How to configure Email Server in vRealize Automation step by step.
Email Server configuration requires common details such as Name, Description, Server name , Authentication, Encryption method, Sender address & Port. So you need to collect all of the above details before going for the email server configuration.
So let’s see How to configure Email Server in vRealize Automation:
Login to vRealize Automation portal.
Go to Email Servers section from navigator pane.
Click on green plus icon to create new.
You will get prompt which Email Server you want to configure Inbound or Outbound.
Select Outbound & click OK to continue.
Provide the details for Email Server configuration.
Click Test connection to test the connectivity of email server.
If all the details are proper then you will see connection was successful.
Click OK to save & close the wizard.
Now we have successfully configured outbound email server.
That’s it, Using this way you can easily configure email server to be used for vRA. Email servers will be used for various options in vRA such as while requesting the approval, notifications etc.
