How to reply to an existing topic in SMF

This tutorial will show you how to reply to an existing topic in SMF.

1) Browse to any topic.

2) Click Reply.

You can change the subject if you like.

Before we start typing up our response, let’s insert a quote from a previous post.

3) Click Insert Quote.

This is useful in replying to multiple posts or if you’re replying to a post that’s several pages back.

4) Type your content.

5) Let’s select a word…

6) …and apply some formatting, in this case, changing the font color.

7) Click Post.

Let’s view our reply.

Here is our reply with the quote embedded in it.
